Unable to Open Database File / SmartClient
A SmartClient user will encounter this issue if:
- The user is on a roaming profile which means his %appdata% folder location is on a network folder. They (their admin) needs to configure the app data folder to be local. The SmartClient caching and metadata database file cannot be loaded from a network location.
- The user is using an antivirus program that is aggressively scanning files: in which case the db file could be in use when the SC attempts to access it. Possible solution is to exclude the SmartClient app data folder from the AV scanning locations.
