Why am I unable to see custom fields in the Results Template designer?

In the Results Template designer, the Custom Fields section may appear blank even after clicking the Refresh Custom Fields button if the user is logged in to SmartClient using a role that is lacking the necessary permissions.

Solution

The following permissions must be added to the user's NetSuite role by the account administrator:

  • Custom Column Fields
  • Custom Body Fields
  • Custom Record Types
  • Custom Entity Fields
  • Custom Record Entries (Under lists)
