Why do my users with Custom Roles run in to Custom Record related Permission errors when working with CloudExtend components?

CloudExtend creates a Custom Record named Google Control Panel in your account. During the installation, CloudExtend will grant all standard roles with view permissions to this record. However, as the installation cannot update Custom Roles you may have created in your account, you will need to grant these permissions manually if any of the CloudExtend users are assigned those custom roles.

To do so, go to Setup > Users/Roles > Manage Roles

Select the Custom Role you wish to modify and click Edit.

On the Permissions sub tab, click on Custom Records. In the list of records, select Celigo Google Control panel, then  select View as the Level.

If you are using CloudExtend Gdocs component, grant the same permissions to the following Custom Records as well.

  • Celigo GoogleDoc
  • Celigo GoogleDoc Association
