You can run financial summary reports on your NetSuite data within the SmartClient. The SmartClient reporting tool is much like building a custom report in NetSuite. You choose how to group the report, any filters you would like to place on the data, and save and run the report. The columns show the data you chose to group by and the amount affecting the general ledger for that group and criteria.
To build a report:
- In the SmartClient toolbar, click Get Financial Data.
- Click Create a New Report, enter a name for your new report in the space provided, and press Enter on your keyboard.
- In Step 1, check boxes next to each column you want to add for grouping your report.
- In Step 2, select each filter you want to use to set criteria, and. When you select a filter, you can enter criteria onthe right side of the popup.
- Click Finish.
The SmartClient uses your criteria to pull transaction data for your columns into the table. You can re-run your saved reports at any time or right-click the name of a report to edit the details.
